An applied study of Shah Waliullah's al-Dahlawi's Five Islamicsciences, in the context of Tafsir Ma'arif al-Qur'an

Abstract

Ignorance was widespread in the subcontinent in the 18th century AD. The people had forgotten the teachings of Islam. Discrimination was prevalent and political power had declined. Due to the religious, moral, and political decline among Muslims, foreigners had turned their eyes on them. The darkness of time was waiting for the reformer to awaken this sleeping nation. Take steps to improve their condition. Allah chose Shah Waliullah's 
al-Dahlawi for the religious and academic guidance of Muslims. The Shah Waliullah's alDahlawi chose the pen to end this decline and march on the road of progress. He not only pointed out the decline of Muslims but also described their remedy. His subjects were Quran and Sunnah, principles of jurisprudence, jurisprudence, economics, sociology, philosophy, Sufism, etc. Shah Waliullah's al-Dahlawi Quranic thoughts are unique, "separate", "comprehensive" and "comprehensive" from other principles. His work "AlFauzul-kabeer fi usool al-Tafseer" is a good example of this attribute. His specialty is to combine the Quranic sciences into five sciences. Shah Sahib divided the comprehensive teachings of the Holy Quran into five topics and performed a great service. One gets to know about the Five Islamic sciences of Shah Waliullah's al-Dahlawi. He made the texts 
of the Qur'an understandable by dividing them into specific topics.
