This study explores the significant work of Imam Tirmidhī entitled " Shama'il al- Tirmidhī " through the lens of its commentary “Khaṣā'il al-Nabawī " by Sheikh Muhammad Zakariyyā Khandīlawī. The study begins with an overview of Imam al-Tirmidhi's life, his contributions to Hadith literature, and his meticulous approach in compiling the characteristics of the Prophet. His work, "Shama'il Muhammadiyya," covers the Prophet's physical and moral attributes through 56 chapters and 415 Hadiths, detailing his method of organizing Hadiths, explaining linguistic nuances, and addressing variations in narration.The study then shifts to Sheikh Muhammad Zakariya's commentary, " Khaṣā'il al-Nabawī", which elucidates the Hadiths of al-Tirmidhi with a focus on language translation, detailed explanations, and addressing apparent contradictions. Sheikh Zakariya's approach includes explaining Hadith contexts, reconciling conflicting reports, and providing jurisprudential insights. This analysis highlights the scholarly rigor of both works offering a comprehensive understanding of their methodologies and contributions to Islamic literature.
