CREATE INTEREST IN LEARNING IN CHILDREN
Abstract
An unusual barbershop in Yslanty, Michigan has been the center of
attention for years, offering discounts to children for reading books aloud.
The unique idea of this shop owner has now become very popular among
children and adults. Barber says he is very happy with the children and their
parents because parents bring their children here in large numbers. The
books contained positive messages and stories about African American
(black) people. If the children who get their hair cut read the book aloud, the
barber gives them a part of the money back or a discount on the haircut fee.
The good thing is that the barber also helps the children to read the book.
According to him, when children take a book in their hands, it strengthens
the society. Relates to seeing the joy and satisfaction on a child's face when
they finish a book, children can read games, music and counting books and
there are also many stories here. The barber's informative interview was
accompanied by a photo of him cutting a child's hair with dozens of children
sitting nearby reading books.
