Abstract

Being one of the manifestations of Allah’s mercy Quranic guidance provide ample content for reformation of society. Likewise, the other contents of the Holy Surah, verseno. 90 of Surah Al-Nahl principally, provides a set of reformation for human society that is significant for all time and also quite relevant to the current situation of human society. Comprising six injunctions, three among them are virtues commanded i.e ‘Adl (Justice), 
Ihsan(excellence), helping to relatives, and three of them are vices forbidden i.e forbidding immorality, bad conduct and rebellion, the verse grants a comprehensive set of guidelines. According to the commentators and exegetes’ scholars termed this verse as Jami ‘thatdepict the discourse of Islam. Keeping this holistic place of content of the ayah and its 
relevance to the contemporary situation of the society in view, its study is being carried out. The study is an endeavor to find out the view of early and recent exegetes and their findings to shed light of the recent requirement for the reformation of the society and reconstruction of these divine contents to the society.
