An Analytical and Comparative Study of Sufism in Tafsir Tustri and Tafsir Bayan al-Qur’an on Monotheism

Abstract

There are countless styles of interpretation or Tafseer of the Holy Qur'an, one of them is Tafsir e Ishari. Almost in every era and region, the work has been done on this style of Tafsir. The Arabic language Tafsir of the Great Qur'an, AL Qur'an ul Azeem is famous as “Tafsir Tustri" and it has the honor of being the first Tafsir in Tafsir-e-Ishari. The best example of Tafsir Ishari in the Urdu literature of the subcontinent is Bayan ul-Qur'an by Maulana Ashraf Ali Thanvi.This paper aims to explain The belief of monotheism that is the basis and foundation of the religion of Islam. which means that Allah Almighty is characterized by all his attributes of divinity and perfections, and in those attributes and perfections, He is one and the only one. The Sufis of every age had perfect faith in monotheism. According to them, there is no difference in the nature, attributes, worship and actions of Allah. This research work aims to compare the similarities and differences between Tafsir Tustri and Tafsir Bayan Al-Qur'an,regarding existence and attributes of Allah. This paper is based on the authentic source and provides valuable information for better understanding of the 
subject.
