interpretation of the Qur'an). His legacy has profoundly impacted the field of Quranic commentary, inspiring numerous scholars to adopt his interpretative style and explain the sciences of the Qur'an. His work includes Philosophy of Quranic understanding, coherence between Surahs and verses, abstracts of Quranic Surahs, Abrogation and abrogated verses of the Qur'an, Summaries of verses etc. The efforts of Molana Husain Ali Alwani and his disciples in the field of Quranic studies over the last century are invaluable. Their work benefits those conducting further research in Quranic studies. All their contributions are highly relevant, important,
and effective in promoting Quranic understanding. However, to fully benefit from their work, one must understand the key terminologies used in Quranic exegesis by Molana Husain Ali’s school of thought.
