Islamic Revolution in Modern Perspective: Ideologies of Maulana Saeed Ahmad Raipuri and Dr. Israr Ahmad

Abstract

This paper aims to understand and analyiz the theme of “Islamic Revolution” in the thought of Maulana Saeed Ahmad Raipuri and Dr. Israr Ahmad. Although Maulana Saeed Ahmad Raipuri and Dr. Israr Ahmad belong to two different schools of thought, they share with each other many important points in their strategy for Islamic revolution. The paper also discusses 
the sources and development of their revolutionary ideas. While Dr. Israr Ahmad was influenced by the ideology and personality of Maulana Maududi, Maulana Saeed Ahmad Raipuri was inspired by the thought and struggle of Maulana Obaidullah Sindhi.
